Matilda Jane Online Trunk Show | MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHER
Saturday February 06th 2010

I LOVE Matilda Jane clothes… with a capital LOVE. They’re funky and colorful. And if you have a daughter like mine, who likes to dress herself, you don’t have to worry that she’ll get it wrong. There is no getting it wrong with MJC outfits. They’re supposed to be… creative. And people always stop me to find out where I got her outfit when she’s in MJC.

I finally decided to contact the company because these clothes are my favorite to photograph. I want all my clients to know how and where to buy them. So now I have a Trunk Keeper to contact, and she set me up with an online show. YAY! This year’s line is completely over the top amazing! I have my eye on ruffle leggings for Aspen and a baby romper for Rowan. Wouldn’t those look cute in Easter pics?! Okay, I need to settle down. (So excited!!!!!)

January 7th… a good day to be born | MICHIGAN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
Saturday January 30th 2010

This little guy shares a birthday with my 7-year-old. I can’t believe it was seven years ago when I last had a newborn boy of my own. I can’t get over his thick hair and porcelain perfect skin. So sweet.e-IMG_1782 e-IMG_1779 e-IMG_1768-bw e-IMG_1741   e-IMG_1729-bw e-IMG_1637 a-IMG_1804

Photographers are cool | MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHER

I got the nicest email the other day from Sharna Wilkerson in New Hampshire (click to check out her blog). She took pictures of this sign and I LOVE the way they look, especially with the snow flakes falling all around… a symbol of my life and the snow that falls all around me in Michigan… ha ha!

Thanks for for the kind thoughts all the way from New Hampshire!IMG_6558LaurelIMG_6561Laurel IMG_6556Laurel

One more Post before bed | MICHIGAN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
Saturday January 23rd 2010

I have a few more from my little friend with the massive cheeks. I got the teal scarf from Target last month, and actually I got two thinking it would be nice to bunch them up like a blanket. Well, you know how newborns are when you get them all naked, and then they’re all comfortable after a feeding, and before you know it you have a scarf soaking the poop out of it in the laundry room (this baby gets the trophy for most poops during a shoot… seriously, what was it Brooke, like 3 times?). You use the other one as backup… and then he decides to pee on it, so you take that as his way of saying he’s so over this photo thing. At least we got some great ones first!

Oh yeah, the blanket is from IKEA. I might just go back and get another one cause I love it and I’m sure I’ll need a backup one of these days.
